July Open Studios
I make wheel thrown domestic ware decorated with textural accents. Patterns are inspired by the natural landscape, from grasses and wild flowers to waves and atterns on a sandy beach.
Each piece is made on the potter's wheel in porcelain clay. Pieces are then turned and individually decorated. My work is influenced by both traditional English slipware and ancient Korean pottery, combining translucent celadons with slip decoration.
Teaching available from my Studio (see website) and Wednesday evening classes at Hills Road 6th Form College.
