Coastal inspired ceramics, using stoneware, porcelain and driftwood, with soft muted glazes and smoke-fire techniques. Beach hut studio in Chesterton!

I love the beach, especially the north Norfolk coast, with its ever changing shoreline. I can walk for miles, collecting pebbles and shells and any other flotsom the sea has thrown out. I like to incorporate this in my work, I have a beach hut studio in my garden where I create tiny ceramic fishermens huts perched on sun drenched driftwood, porcelain smoke-fired pebbles, sand dollars and Norfolk seals. I use either no glaze or glazes that blend with the driftwood and compliment the pure whiteness of porcelain.
