My years working as a painter and print-maker have been dominated by observation and colour in the landscape. I trained at the University of Central Lancashire and Liverpool University, teaching Sixth Form and adults for many years which I greatly enjoyed. I also enjoyed a parallel career for some years as a writer and illustrator of children's books and as a designer for the National Trust. Now I devote myself to developing further my major interests.
