spring in the air - Sue WalkerAtmospheric landscapes and seascapes in acrylic and mixed media.  The majority of my work is on canvas and I sometimes like to incorporate tissues or other papers such as hand made paper.

A good selection of paintings, greetings cards and digital prints are available are available at my studio.

Wild places and elemental landscapes are often the starting point for my work and I am particularly drawn to coastal scenes.  The meeting of land and sea has a mystical quality for me.  The changing light and the ebb and flow of water mean that views are constantly altering and evolving. My choice of subject is often decided by my emotional response to the mood and colours of the scene.  I mostly find inspiration in the scenery of East Anglia, foreign travel and sailing trips.  In the paintings I try to capture something of the original mood and atmosphere of the scene.

I have exhibited in galleries across E Anglia, held several solo and joint exhibitions and have paintings in collections in UK, France, Germany, Australia and the USA. One of my paintings was recently purchased by Addenbrooks Hospital for their permanent collection.
