CirculART 2017 – artist applications now open
'The CirculART Trail aims to celebrate art and creativity, re-purposing and recycling, and highlight the significant role that our charity shops play in reducing waste.'
This year, Cambridge Carbon Footprint is hosting CirculART for the second time. CirculART is a project in which the work of local artists who work with re-purposed materials is showcased in the windows of Cambridge’s finest charity shops.
For three weeks, beginning 8th June, the public will be able to pick up a CirculART Trail map from participating shops and other locations around Cambridge. Using the printed trail map or its on-line version, members of the public will be able to follow the CirculART trail, visiting charity shops all around the City. All the artworks will all have been made by recycling, re-purposing and reclaiming materials. In 2016, 20 artists and charity shops were involved and we enjoyed a launch and wrap party.
We are now looking for artists to get involved in this project. The artist application form is now live. Applications will close on the 6th March. We'd be really grateful if you could send this message through to anyone within your organisation or network that might want to take part.
